Stim Dancethon is a movement awareness and stim dance smartscript for KS2. It  uses simple and fun movement games to allow everyone to build self-awareness  and notice how we differ from each other. We use repetitive movement and  stimming as the basis for simple movement sequences. In the script you get to  build dances together and can even put a flashmob on if you want to!

Inside and out refers to looking at various identities and how we look on the outside and judgements on our appearance e.g, our ethnicity, how we dress etc and what's on the inside of our identity, that which makes us, our heritage, our dreams and ambitions. The project I have created takes students on a journey of self discovery of their identity outside and in. Through various art mediums such as collage, montage, ink drawing, clay, wire craft and lino printing students will create artwork exploring different aspects of identity and heritage.

BIO:

I have been a teacher for over 24 years. I have taught art in secondary schools and have been a primary teacher and Art specialist for most of my career. With experience in KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4, I am able to guide students in how to achieve the best in their work. I am also a practicing artist with exhibitions in the UK and abroad. My practice involves acrylic painting in a Surrealist style, textiles, montage and many other forms of medium. I believe we are all learners and the learning never stops in life.
